The latest troubleshooting request relates to a mysterious case of missing i Cloud contacts that would have apparently disappeared after updating to i OS 10.
As usual, the standard process will require getting the latest edition.
However, there are now some methods that allow you restore your i Phone without updating its software.
Note that this post was done using an i Phone, but the solution to recover contacts that may have disappeared is the same whether you use an i Pad or an i Pod touch.
Before doing anything, I suggest you go to i Cloud.com, login with your Apple ID and password, and go to the Contacts section. Obviously, if you don’t have any contacts in i Cloud, you won’t be able to bring any of them back to your i Phone.

I have tried doing this by putting the phone into recovery mode and trying to restore it but i Tunes wants to update the phone to i OS 10.3.3.
